The artist wanted to explore two other themes, with the use of mixed media;

Photomontage; This theme surfaced these past two years. After conducting experiments on her own photographic works, she wanted and believed she can achieve a stronger aesthetic. As a result, this genre became one of her most favored artistic expressions.

Today she is continuing to develop this style, into a physical exhibited work.

Sculpture; This theme was explored back in 2018. The artist wanted to explore a personal theme, featuring her grandfather. He was the only bamboo-curtain maker in all of Gozo. He was a well-known man in Gozo, and after his passing in 101 years, Roberta decided to create a work to represent his legacy.

His favorite hobby was fishing because it is what he cherished with his father growing up.

The work was made from his tools and materials found in his workshop. ​

This work was made from two separate parts;

First Part; The artist gathered photos from her collection, made from long exposure.

Second Part; Then the artist had to combine these together, forming these photomontage works.

This project features a layering on layering technique, until the final work.
